E-SEVANA : An e-Service Platform by STED

e-Sevana is an e-Service platform by STED, Department of Science and Technology, Government of Kerala for establishing a State-wide Network of STED Supported e-Sevana Entrepreneurs for maintenance and repairs of Computers and other household electrical/electronic equipments. About 1000 e-Sevana Entrepreneurs throughout Kerala will be trained and networked at the Panchayath level to offer quality and timely support services to the customers.

The scheme is aimed to solve the complaints of the customers with quality on-site support, offering the customers with the flexibility to register their complaints any time of day and also virtually from anywhere. An online web portal www.e-sevana.net will facilitate the entire coordination of the project which involves STED, e-Sevana Entrepreneurs and the customers.

Piloting shall be done in Thiruvananthapuram with the participation of 50 new e-Sevana Entrepreneurs for the servicing of computers initially. In the pilot implementation, the initiative will cover all the Gramapanchayats and Municipalities in the district of Thiruvananthapuram.
